Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced 5-ton truck driver for deliveries in Victoria and central Vancouver Island on a part time basis.

The position is for delivery of food products, and merchandising the product at the customer locations. We require someone who can be professional and courteous with our customers.

Duties

· At least 2 years experience driving a 5 ton truck

· A reliable, flexible, & respectful team-player

· Ability to communicate with customers in professional manner

· Class 5 license, air brake certification and a clean drivers abstract

· Knowledge of Victoria & Central Vancouver Island an asset

· Flexibility for scheduling – hours vary by day

· Product delivery and merchandising required

· Physically able to lift 50lbs

· Experience using a pallet jack

· Experience working with a reefer truck would be an asset

· Clean casual dress required

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform lifting and physical tasks regularly
  • Familiarity with pallet jack operation is a plus
  • Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and customers
  • Previous experience in warehouse environments or moving-related roles is advantageous

Schedule:

This is an early morning start day shift. The schedule will be 2 days per week for approximately 16-18 hours per week all year.

There is occasional overtime required for this position.
