Nous recherchons un(e) Ingénieur(e) d'usine spécialisé(e) en génie mécanique pour soutenir et optimiser les opérations manufacturières. Cette personne sera responsable de la fiabilité des équipements, de l'amélioration continue des procédés et du support technique sur le plancher. Elle collaborera étroitement avec les équipes de production, maintenance et qualité afin d'assurer performance, sécurité et efficacité.
Responsabilités principales
Support technique et opérationnel
- Diagnostiquer et résoudre rapidement les problèmes mécaniques sur le plancher.
- Suivre les équipements critiques et recommander des actions préventives et correctives.
- Travailler en coordination avec la maintenance pour planifier les interventions.
Amélioration continue
- Identifier les opportunités d'optimisation des procédés et réduction de coûts.
- Réaliser des analyses de causes fondamentales et recommander des solutions durables.
- Concevoir et implémenter des modifications mécaniques pour améliorer la productivité et la sécurité.
Gestion de projets
- Diriger des projets d'installation, de modernisation ou de remplacement d'équipements.
- Coordonner les sous-traitants, fournisseurs et consultants.
- Respecter les échéances, budgets et normes de qualité.
Documentation et conformité
- Maintenir la documentation technique à jour.
- S'assurer du respect des normes de santé, sécurité, qualité et environnement.
- Participer aux audits internes et externes.
Profil recherché
- Baccalauréat en génie mécanique ou domaine connexe.
- Expérience pertinente en milieu manufacturier avec leadership démontré.
- Connaissance des approches Lean et Six Sigma.
- Excellente capacité d'analyse et communication claire.
- Maîtrise des outils GMAO et logiciels de conception (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Plant Engineer – Mechanical Engineering
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range $130,000 to $150,000, depending on experience
- 10% annual performance bonus
- Full benefits starting on Day 1
- Hands-on, collaborative role with strong autonomy in technical decision-making
Position Summary
We are seeking a Plant Engineer specializing in mechanical engineering to support and optimize manufacturing operations. This role ensures equipment reliability, drives continuous improvement and provides direct technical support on the shop floor. The engineer will collaborate closely with production, maintenance and quality teams to ensure performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Support
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues on the shop floor.
- Monitor critical equipment and recommend preventive/corrective actions.
- Coordinate maintenance interventions and technical activities.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop sustainable corrective actions.
- Design and implement mechanical modifications to increase safety and productivity.
Project Management
- Lead equipment installation, upgrade and modernization projects.
- Coordinate suppliers, contractors and technical partners.
- Ensure schedules, budgets and quality standards are met.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date equipment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency with CMMS systems and CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
