Fleet Maintenance Administrator & Dispatcher

Location: Montréal, Québec

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

Working closely with the President you will act as a strong liason with company mechanics, outside service vendors, clients, Dispatchers, Safety Director and other company employees to ensure maintenance standards, policies & safety criteria are followed in an efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor the on-going activities at company maintenance garage(s) and outside vendors.

Maintain an accurate & up to date Schedule of upcoming Preventive Maintenance work, and co-ordinate the scheduling for the PM's. Work closely with Dispatch & mechanics to ensure PM's are done as scheduled.

A key element of this position is being aware of the location of company equipment (company yards, on-site at clients, at vendors, etc.) Advising Dispatch to "re-position" the equipment as needed for service appointments, PM's, inspections, etc.

Make service appointments with vendors. Advise Dispatch of these appointments. Follow-up with Dispatch that the equipment is dropped at vendor as scheduled. Advise Dispatch when the work has been completed and follow up that the equipment has been picked up from vendor.

Follow up with Argus mechanics on the status of on-going Work Orders.

Provide the President with a brief daily summary of work planned at company garage.

Keep the Equipment Maintenance Records (in-house software program) up to date.

Enter Invoice details (outside vendors) in the maintenance software program.

Enter parts purchase Invoices in the system and provide Reports to the President as requested.

Maintain an accurate an up to date filing of completed. Work Orders.

Strong competency in Excel & Word.

Previous experience in equipment maintenance administration is an asset but not absolutely necessary. Having a great attitude & sense of responsibility is #1
