What you'll be doing

You'll be joining CIBC's Capital Markets, Regulatory Technology team. You'll be at the heart of CIBC's digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale mobile projects involving multiple back-end systems. As an Azure Application Consultant, you'll be leading the technical design, development and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems and provide enhancements to existing technologies. The role works on complex issues involving one or more technical areas, mentoring employees, and performing tasks of advanced technical depth and breadth. The Consultant, Application Development collaborates with developers, architects, and infrastructure specialists to gather requirements and conduct research to evaluate the application of new and emerging tools and techniques, identifying patterns and best practices to consider in technology proposals while anticipating long term business issues. The role devises new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking, developing project plans based on appropriate standards and methodology.

How you'll succeed

• Design and development - Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
• Strategic planning - Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank's vision, strategy, and business goals. Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.
• Operational Support - As a Senior .NET and Azure DevOps Team member, you will run instruction-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the quality of the deployments, provide technical guidance for the support team for Production Issues, Design and Develop Applications, Support, and mentor intermediate developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate experience in:  at least 5-7 years of .NET, C#, Azure, Azure DevOps, Building Apps in Azure: Azure Webjobs, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lakes, Databrickcs, etc., Building CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, PowerShell, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, Json, SSIS, Microservices, RESTful API, Unit Testing. It's an asset if:  You have knowledge of Agile, Elastic search and SOLID design principles. Having experience with SSRS/Tableau/Power BI would also be beneficial.
