The Opportunity

As a Property Administrator, you will play a critical role in the successful on-site management of our properties. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong administrative skills, and has a proven background in sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for both the day-to-day administrative tasks and driving occupancy through effective leasing strategies.

What you bring...

  • Experience: 2+ years in property management or a related administrative field, demonstrating a strong foundation in industry practices and procedures.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Accounting Knowledge: A solid understanding of general accounting principles is essential for this role.
  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional phone demeanor. Excels at establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships and are a self-motivated leader and team player.
  • Multitasking & Time Management: Demonstrated ability to handle tight deadlines, competing priorities, and multiple demands, while delivering quality results under pressure. Adaptability to change is key.
  • Team Collaboration: A dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong numerical competence, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with Yardi software programs is a plus.
  • Reliability: A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this role.

You will...

  • Perform Administrative and Leasing Tasks: Handle clerical duties, including lease signings, processing rental payments, managing applications, and preparing lease documentation to ensure smooth daily operations. Showcase available suites to prospective residents, providing personalized tours and highlighting the benefits of our properties.
  • Support Management: Assist in compiling and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports, ensuring timely and accurate insights into property performance. Work closely with management to maintain the accuracy of all reporting requirements.
  • Enhance Tenant Relations: Implement strategies to improve tenant retention and satisfaction, ensuring a positive living experience for all residents.
  • Manage Transactions: Oversee the transaction process, including issuing payment receipts and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Utilize your sales experience to consistently meet and exceed leasing and sales goals.
  • Maintain Flexible Availability: Be available during evenings and weekends to accommodate prospective tenants and operational needs.
  • Contribute to Marketing Efforts: Assist in executing marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants, keeping the property competitive in the market.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with local market trends and conditions, providing relevant information to clients and management.
  • Client Focus: Listen attentively to the unique needs of clients, ensuring their requirements are met effectively.
  • Team Support: Offer assistance to team members as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service to current and prospective tenants by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues. Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, fostering a sense of community within the property. Conduct regular follow-ups with leads and existing tenants to ensure satisfaction and retention.

You must also be legally eligible to work in Canada (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
