Duties

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a caring environment
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and hygienic living space
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring proper timing and dosage
  • Support clients with mobility challenges through safe transfer techniques and assistive device use
  • Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare providers or family members
  • Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia care, hospice support, or working with individuals with disabilities

Requirements

  • Prior experience in assisted living, senior care, hospice care, or working with people with disabilities is preferred
  • Knowledge of patient care practices, medication administration, and basic nursing skills is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for mobility assistance or transfers
  • Strong caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to handle responsibilities such as meal preparation and light cleaning effectively
  • Certification or training in caregiving or home health aide services is a plus but not mandatory
  • Must be reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality personal care in a home setting

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $16.77-$23.77 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 21 per week

Work Location: In person
