Overview

We are seeking a motivated & physically fit GENERAL LABOURER to join our Snow Plow team. This role is essential for maintaining safe and accessible roadways during winter weather conditions. You will be performing various manual tasks and small equipment operation to complete snow clearing & salting for various properties throughout Windsor/ Essex County. You must have the ability to operate various small machinery and tools effectively. A commitment to safety and attention to detail is crucial in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Operate snow equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and sidewalks of snow and ice. ( use of shovels, and 4 wheelers, and RTV's )
  • Perform routine maintenance on snow plowing equipment, ensuring it is in safe working condition.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for snow removal and related tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently.
  • Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing situations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Must be able to work independently and follow instructions

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
  • A valid driver's license is required; Clean Driving Record is a must
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends, during snow events.
  • Familiarity with operating snow removal equipment is preferred.
  • Working Cellular Phone with Data is required

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
