Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RECE for Supply/Support work at Bayview Gardens Child Care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to engage with children of various ages, and a willingness to support their developmental needs. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and French, are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children in your care at all times.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Provide support for children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring an inclusive environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized childcare space conducive to learning and play.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
  • Document children's progress through written reports and observations.
  • Utilize time management skills to balance multiple tasks effectively while maintaining quality care.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
  • Background in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and classroom experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
  • A nurturing attitude towards children along with the ability to teach and engage them in learning activities.
