Position: Part Time Security Guard 

Site:  Tecumseh Mall 

Site Address:  7654 Tecumseh Road, East, Windsor, ON

Overtime Method: Employment Standards Act – calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly  

Hours:  Sat , Sunday

Payrate:   $20.00/hr

Requirements:

You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance. In this role, it is essential that you are able to stand and walk for long periods of time.Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security. Perform regular security checks of the property, including parking areas, entrances, exits, and other designated areas. Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities. Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises. Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions as needed (may be required to run)Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities. Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team. Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting any unusual occurrences. Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed. Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly. Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary. Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use. Knowledge and enforcement of Trespass to Property Act (TPA) R.S.O 1990

Prerequisites:   

Valid Security License for the province of Ontario   Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor) Valid G class Driver License  English (oral and written) fluency is a must   Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred. Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)   Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position   Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month
