Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for graphic design and print shop activities including work assignment, product approval processes, and production timelines.

You have-

  • Post-secondary education in graphic design, a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Sign Lab

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Highly organized

  • Well-honed communication skills

  • Effective time management skills

  • Knowledge of Book 7 is an asset

  • Ability to problem solve/troubleshoot

  • Knowledge of industrial printers is considered an asset

As a Graphic Designer you will-

  • Retrieve order details and print specifications through the internal graphics network.

  • Use Adobe Illustrator to create printing configurations based on the clients' requirements and associated legislation/traffic rules

  • Load industrial printers with the proper sheeting material

  • Ensure colors and tones are in accordance with client and material requirements

  • Use the online graphics system to sync and operate the graphics cutter

  • Perform quality control checks on all finished products

  • Transport completed graphics to the appropriate department by manually carrying, using dollies, or trollies – Graphics, Fabricators, Wood Shop, Packaging, etc.

  • Check inventory levels to ensure optimal supplies and resources

  • Ensure machinery and tools used in print production are appropriately maintained

  • Adhere to the company's safety standards

  • Other duties as assigned to meet customer and business requirements
