YOUR TEAM

As a member of our procurement team, you will work behind the scenes on various projects to ensure each one is highlighted. Involved in different phases of a project's lifecycle, you will offer advice, support, and guidance to creative, technical, and project teams to ensure the success of our productions.

YOUR MISSION

Under the supervision of the Director - Global Sourcing & Partnerships, you are responsible for managing Moment Factory's logistics operations, both in terms of transport and customs operations.

You develop and implement the overall logistics strategy, covering international transport, the network of logistics partners and suppliers, internal and external warehousing, the creation of transport budgets, as well as goods reception and shipping activities from our Montreal office and internationally.

In collaboration with the sourcing and production departments, you ensure the preparation of export documents, monitor shipment compliance, manage customs procedures, track shipments, and inform relevant parties of arrivals. Your role also involves overseeing warehousing operations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

International Transport

  • Develop the logistics strategy (specific to each project/business unit) in collaboration with the Technical Director, the Scenography team, and the Procurement department.
  • Establish logistics budgets adapted to import types and destinations.
  • Ensure customs compliance and manage risks associated with import/export (including ATA Carnet, TIB, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for customs and international transport.
  • Request transport quotes and negotiate the best rates.
  • Optimize operations by using the most advantageous Incoterms and HS codes.
  • Coordinate and monitor transport (air, sea, road).
  • Manage equipment consolidation for projects in Montreal and internationally.
  • Manage relationships with global suppliers.
  • Liaise with chambers of commerce and various transport-related organizations.

Domestic Transport

  • Supervise and coordinate domestic transport.
  • Monitor equipment consolidation in Montreal for export.
  • Manage and coordinate inter-supplier transport.

Team Management

  • Supervise, develop, and manage the performance of the logistics team comprising 2 people.
  • Define team objectives in line with project strategies. Maintain a high level of customs and logistics expertise within the team.

Management of Receiving/Shipping and Warehousing Operations

  • Lead the management of receiving and shipping at warehouses (internal/external).
  • Manage the operational budget for inventory management (packaging materials and warehousing tools).

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Monitoring

  • Improve management, coordination, and monitoring tools.
  • Participate in the review of tasks related to logistics, production, and procurement.
  • Participate in post-project analyses of production teams.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, international news, and key players.
  • Implement innovative solutions to optimize the entire logistics process.

YOUR JOURNEY INCLUDES

  • A Bachelor's degree in Operations and Logistics Management or any other related training.
  • Between 7 and 10 years of experience in international transport logistics, preferably in event management, with expertise in strategy, coordination and customs.
  • Management and development of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of customs documentation and processes.
  • Experience in managing large and complex budgets.
  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written (you will regularly communicate with English-speaking clients in this role).
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Experience in event or audiovisual production, a strong asset.
  • Experience in team management, a strong asset.
