As a Website Developer on the Client Services team, you will work alongside other developers, marketing professionals, designers, and other stakeholders to build & create cutting-edge websites for our clients.

This is a hybrid/remote position, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, however preferential consideration may be given to individuals who can report to our Toronto OR St. Catharines office 2x per week.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Engage with technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, VueJS (Vue 2, 3) and NodeJS
  • Develop quality websites and using our website development framework
  • Deliver high-quality work that adheres to corporate standards & expectations
  • Collaborate with designers, developers and project managers during the development process to ensure website projects are delivered for the set deadlines
  • Provide documentation where necessary

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • A strong understanding of JavaScript, VueJS (Vue 2, 3), NodeJS and HTML
  • A basic understanding of TypeScript
  • A strong understanding of CSS and responsive principles
  • A strong understanding of SCSS or any other CSS preprocessor
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills
  • A passion for collaborating with team members to deliver objectives
  • Upholds our standards of usability, accessibility, and best practices
  • Desire and willingness to learn new technologies and products
  • Emphasizes organization and the importance of thorough documentation
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 - 2 years experience with JavaScript, VueJS, NodeJS and HTML
  • 1 - 2 years of experience building websites
  • Strong knowledge of CSS/SCSS
  • Basic knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Basic knowledge of AODA/WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and best practices
  • Experience working with different CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap/UIKit
  • Experience working with version control (GitHub/GitLab)
  • Familiarity working with content management systems, such as Drupal or WordPress
  • Fluent in English

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with current industry trends/standards
  • Knowledge of object oriented programming
  • Knowledge of Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)
  • Fluency in French or Spanish
  • B.Sc ). degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Background working with and creating or consuming REST APIs
  • Experience with Linux/WSL (Any Distro)
  • Experience with Docker and containerized environments
  • Able to report to Rentsync's Toronto OR St. Catharines office 2x per week
