The Opportunity

Join the Microsoft App Platform (MAP) squad within a leading global financial firm. The MAP team is driving the initiative to establish the public cloud as the preferred platform across the organization. This is a crucial, global, multidisciplinary role focused on architecting and delivering secure, robust, and innovative solutions that enable development teams to build, deploy, and migrate applications into the Azure public cloud.

We are seeking an experienced Azure and Power Platform DevOps Engineer who is passionate about cloud enablement, application migration, and infrastructure as code. You'll be central to evaluating new Azure products and integrating them into our standardized cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement Azure, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365 solutions, focusing on application refactoring, migration, and seamless integration with the public cloud environment.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage cloud resources, standardizing deployment practices across the firm.
  • Design and implement systems built for enterprise-level scale, performance, and security.
  • Drive engineering and development initiatives with a strong sense of operational ownership and a focus on resilience.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary global teams, business partners, and sponsors, effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences, both written and orally.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and integration of new Azure services into the standard cloud solutions catalogue.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Expert-level hands-on experience with deploying and migrating applications to Azure, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Expert knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) languages, specifically Terraform.
  • Expert scripting skills with languages such as PowerShell and Python.
  • Experience in Azure cloud architecture, design, and application refactoring for public cloud compatibility.
  • Demonstrated experience designing systems for scale in a large, enterprise environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a global organization and across different time zones.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications (A Plus)

  • Experience setting up and utilizing CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Azure DevOps.
  • Direct experience with Power Platform components:
  • Automating setup of new D365/Power Platform environments.
  • Managing Security models and access provisioning.
  • Implementing Encryption Key management (CMK).
  • Defining Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and Connectors.
  • Dataverse Management.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, especially Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud security products and system administration skills on Linux or Windows platforms.
  • Knowledge and appreciation for security, legal, and regulatory compliance controls required for moving data into cloud services, preferably within the finance sector.
  • Dynamics 365 or Power Platform Training/Certification.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $62,106.09-$166,565.39 per year
