About Us

At WEMH Foundation, we empower young explorers (ages 4–6 and 7–12) through inquiry-based, student-centered learning. Our vibrant, in-person community fosters intrinsic motivation, resilience, and collaboration. We're now seeking a passionate Freelance French Teacher to lead our French Circle Time and Speech Club, bringing the joy of French language and culture to life.

What You'll Do

As our French Teacher, you'll:

• Design and teach interactive French speech lessons for mixed-age groups (4–6 and 7–12).
• Lead Circle Time and Speech Club sessions that integrate storytelling, culture, and real-world themes.
• Foster curiosity and confidence through creative, hands-on activities.
• Support students in reflecting on their learning journey using our tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to align lessons with our curriculum and Clubs.
• Participate in monthly public showcases to celebrate student progress and build community.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is:

• Fluent in French (native or near-native) with strong English communication skills.
• Passionate about inquiry-based, student-centered learning.
• Experienced (or eager to grow) in teaching French to children ages 4–12.
• Comfortable engaging mixed-age groups with creativity and care.
• Collaborative, communicative, and committed to inclusive learning.
• Certified to teach or has equivalent experience (preferred, not required).
• Able to pass a background check (can be completed upon hire).
