Job Opening: Dynamic Server & Bartender

Lakeside Bar and Grill is seeking an enthusiastic and highly efficient individual to join our front-of-house team as a Server and Bartender. This dual role is crucial for ensuring exceptional service, whether you are managing a section of tables or crafting drinks behind the bar.

The ideal candidate thrives on variety, excels at multitasking, and can make quick, smart decisions to maintain the flow of service during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Table Service: Deliver friendly, prompt, and accurate food and beverage service to guests in your assigned section.
  • Bar Operations: Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including beer, wine, and classic and signature cocktails, adhering to all recipes and standards.
  • Time Management: Fluidly transition between serving and bartending duties, prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure all guests (at the bar and tables) receive timely attention.
  • Compliance: Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure strict adherence to all Smart Serve regulations and restaurant policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash handling and basic math for tab calculations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a full-service restaurant or bar setting.
  • Up-to-date Smart Serve certification is mandatory.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of cocktails, mixology, and standard bar practices.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills are required to effectively handle serving and bartending responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to make quick decisions and handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and calm.
  • A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
