About the Role
Nielsen Roofing & Sheet Metal LTD, part of the Tectra Group, is looking for a skilled Architectural Sheet Metal Supervisor who can keep a crew organized, a project on track, and a sense of humor intact. If you've ever looked at a site drawing and thought, "I can make that look better in metal," we want to hear from you.
Our metal division is on the rise, and we need a supervisor who can keep things running smoother than fresh coil stock—someone who leads with experience, pride, and just enough humor to keep the jobsite fun.
Responsibilities
- Run commercial cladding and architectural metal projects from start to finish (without losing your cool).
- Organize crews, materials, and schedules so everything lines up the first time.
- Communicate clearly with the office, GCs, and site reps—even when the Wi-Fi doesn't cooperate.
- Train junior workers and keep safety top of mind.
- Maintain high installation standards across every detail, from flashing to Panel reveals straighter than a Saskatchewan Highway.
Qualifications
- Trade qualified or minimum 5 years experience supervising architectural sheet metal or cladding projects.
- Proven experience with various systems—metal panels, custom fabrication, roofing, and more.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking skills (bonus points if you can do all three before your second coffee).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to work out of town when required.
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and maybe even crack a smile when the crane's late again.
