Contract Surface A&D Analyst
in the

Calgary, Alberta.
We are seeking an experienced Surface A&D Analyst with over 10 years of experience to join our Land A&D team. The ideal candidate will be independent, results-driven, and detail-oriented, capable of managing surface land A&D activities for various projects, including area deals, corporate projects, and day-to-day A&D queries. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can multitask and pivot in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely project completion and continuous process improvement.

A Typical Day

  • Support Surface land A&D activities, including reviewing and validating land and well schedules, preparing conveyance documents, and updating land systems
  • Identify and communicate potential risks with Surface A&D activities to internal stakeholders
  • Identify discrepancies and post-close deficiencies, and remedy as applicable
  • Support continuous process improvement and development
  • Assist with various projects within Land as requested
  • Complete chain of title and solve complex A&D problems

Must Have

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with CS Land, OneStop, ETS, ISC, Land Titles, Abadata, and mapping programs
  • Minimum of 10 years of surface land experience, with a focus on A&D activity
  • Petroleum Land Administration certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of regulations for Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC, and other regulatory bodies
