The Opportunity
We're looking for a Process Engineer to join our growing team in Guelph, Ontario. This is a full-time, on-premise role where you'll contribute to engineering and design projects across multiple sectors.
You'll take ownership of process design deliverables, collaborate across disciplines, and see your work come to life in the field. If you're motivated by technical problem-solving, teamwork, and tangible results, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Develop key process engineering deliverables including:
- Process Flow Diagrams (PDFs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Equipment datasheets, line lists, and process descriptions.
- Material and energy balances.
- Perform simulations, sizing, and hydraulic calculations to support equipment and system design.
- Contribute to conceptual studies, front-end engineering, and detailed design phases.
- Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and process safety assessments.
- Provide technical input to project cost estimates, schedules, and procurement packages.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, civil, and controls disciplines.
- Engage with vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support commissioning and startup activities, including field troubleshooting when needed.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or related discipline).
- Registered or eligible for registration with PEO or APEGA.
- 3–10 years of relevant experience in process design and project execution.
- Proficiency with Aspen HYSYS, ProMax, or similar simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of process safety, controls, and instrumentation fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, on-site environment.
- Experience in EPCM, oil & gas, chemical, or manufacturing facilities is an asset.
