Senior Bookkeeper
Our client is a well-established public accounting firm located in Oakville, providing personalized and professional financial services to individuals and businesses across the GTA. They are known for delivering high-quality bookkeeping, payroll, and tax support with a strong focus on accuracy, integrity, and exceptional client service.
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients within a fast-paced public practice environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and confident working independently while balancing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting transactions for multiple client files
- Reconcile bank, credit card (Visa), and loan accounts
- Prepare and file GST/HST and PST returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
- Process payroll and complete all related CRA remittances and filings
- Support year-end preparation including working papers
- Assist with corporate tax return preparation
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely client deliverables
- Communicate directly with clients regarding outstanding documentation and updates
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of bookkeeping experience
- 3+ years of QuickBooks (Online & Desktop) experience
- Experience working in a public practice or multi-client environment
- Strong accuracy, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience with CaseWare
Schedule
- Hybrid:
3 days in-office, 2 days remote - Full-time position
