We're seeking a
Data Quality Analyst / Data Governance Analyst
with strong technical skills and experience in
data profiling, metadata management, dashboarding, and automation
, ideally within
capital markets
or
financial services
.

This role is part of a major data governance initiative focused on improving the quality, accessibility, and compliance of critical data assets across the organization.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Data governance, data quality, and metadata management experience
  • Building dashboards and reports using
    Databricks
    ,
    Power BI
    ,
    Alteryx
    , and
    Power Query
  • Proficiency in
    Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, VBA)
    and automation
  • Strong understanding of
    data profiling
    ,
    data lineage
    , and
    metadata-driven solutions
  • Knowledge of data control frameworks and regulatory compliance (BCBS239, RDAR, MiFID, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills – able to translate technical data concepts into clear business terms

Position Details:

    Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
  • Duration:
    6–12 month contract (extension possible)
  • Start Date:
    October 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Lead governance activities for assigned asset classes and data domains
  • Conduct data profiling, data quality rule definition, and metadata documentation
  • Build and optimize dashboards and automation for governance insights
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to implement governance controls
  • Support data governance frameworks, policies, and compliance reviews

Preferred Experience & Tools:

  • 3–5 years of experience in
    data governance
    ,
    data management
    , or
    data analytics
  • Hands-on with
    Databricks, Purview, Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, Jira, Confluence
  • Exposure to
    capital markets data
    and
    financial regulations
  • Strong collaboration skills across business and technology teams
