Disability Support Worker/Direct Support Professional

We are currently HIRING for a Direct Support Professional position in the following position:
- Days, Evening and Weekends
- Various Part Time and Full Time -Benefits Eligible position
The successful candidate will:
- be a creative thinker with strong multi-tasking ability
- be comfortable using a tablet
- Ability to "think outside of the box"
- have great communication skills
- be able to work in homes with pets
- non judgmental attitude
Residential Supports typically has 1 to 3 people living together, requiring 24hr. support. We provide services in St. Albert and in the Edmonton area.
The main goal is for people to live their best life, within their abilities. This may involve but not limited to; personal care, support with daily living tasks, employment, community involvement, assisting with medication, accompanying people to appointments, advocating, and building meaning relationships.
Position Requirements:
- Emergency first Aid & CPR/AED Level C, or willing to obtain it prior to employment
- Own a reliable vehicle with third party liability insurance of $1 million
- Possess a Class 5 driver's licence
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
**** Due to wait times to receive a criminal record check with vulnerable sector, applicants who are invited for an interview are encouraged to request the check from their local RCMP/Police detachment prior to the interview. *****
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $17.73-$27.00 per hour
