Position Summary

We are conducting an urgent hire for a dedicated and professional Part-Time Pharmacist. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of pharmaceuticals, providing expert medication advice, and ensuring superior patient service. This role is ideal for a collaborative pharmacist who excels in an on-site, team-oriented environment supported by advanced technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescribed medications and provide comprehensive counseling to patients.
  • Conduct thorough medication reviews to optimize patient therapy.
  • Collaborate effectively with the on-site pharmacy assistant and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain precise and confidential patient records using our Kroll paperless system.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all federal, provincial, and college regulations.
  • Provide expert consultations on prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, and general health and wellness.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory and oversee the ordering of pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Please note: This role does not involve the preparation of methadone or injections.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid license and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • Previous experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems; specific experience with Kroll is a significant asset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-service orientation.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.

Schedule & Availability

This is a permanent part-time position. The successful candidate must be available to work the following set schedule every week:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Saturdays: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
