Role Overview

The Solution Architect at BlueRock TMS plays a pivotal role in the implementation of new customers, and enhancements to existing customers. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating business needs into robust and scalable technical solutions. You'll be responsible for designing and guiding the implementation in a way that aligns with our strategic objectives and customer needs. Your expertise will be key in collaborating with stakeholders across, developers, product owners and business representatives, to deliver innovative and impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Core Technical Activities

• Translate complex business requirements in our architecture

• Designing solutions: Crafting the overall blueprint for a system or application. This involves selecting technologies, defining components and their interactions, and ensuring it meets business and technical requirements.

• Creating Technical Documentation: Producing clear documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and technical guidelines, for development teams and stakeholders

• Cloud architecture, designing and deploying solutions on cloud platforms, such as AWS.

• Manage master data uploads, configuration of application screens, and creating business rules

Core Project Activities

• Serve as the primary contact person for customers, guiding them on how to best utilize the TMS platform's built-in modules

• For smaller projects, also be able to project manage the project. Such as managing timelines, risks, and budget.

• For larger projects, work closely with the Project Manager to design, implement, test, and deploy BlueRock TMS successfully.

• Drive the utilization and standardization of APIs to connect BlueRock TMS with third-party systems such as WMS, ERP, Visibility Providers, Customs Solutions, and others.

Qualifications

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Solution Architect or similar role, preferably within the SaaS or TMS industries. Or, proven track record on required skills.

  • Proven experience in product-driven environments, with a strong understanding of software implementation and best practices.

  • Experience in API integration and standardization, particularly with systems such as WMS, ERP, Visibility Providers, and Customs Solutions.

• Experience in business rules engines is a pro.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of TMS platforms and their applications in various industries. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

• Experience with API utilization and standardization for third-party system integration.

• Familiarity with SQL, postman.

Soft Skills

• Ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
