About the Role:The Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) provides speech, language and swallowing services to acute, rehab or complex care patients under the supervision and guidance of the Speech-Language Pathologist, both in a one-on-one and group setting. The CDA will treat patients with a variety of conditions which may include frailty, tracheostomy, stroke and other neurological disorders.

- Completion of the Communicative Disorders Assistant Program
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of treatment techniques and implementation for the adult population
- Possess an attitude of respect and sensitivity towards clients with varied backgrounds, abilities and educational status
- Demonstrates superior problem solving skills
- Innovative and willing to learn
- Commitment to excellent customer service and collaborative Interprofessional teamwork
