Role Description

This is a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) full-time role based on-site at Manitoulin Centennial Manor in Little Current, ON. The RPN will be responsible for providing holistic, patient-centered care, including administering medications, assisting in developing care plans, and managing patient records. They will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of the residents. Additional responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, reporting changes to the healthcare team, and educating residents and families about health management and preventive care.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Proficiency in administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and providing medical care according to professional standards
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, residents, and families effectively
• Experience in developing and implementing care plans, as well as maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
• Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with electronic medical record systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment with a focus on compassion and professionalism
• Previous experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting is an asset
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to the highest standards of patient care
