Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing carpentry tasks, managing a team of laborers, and tracking labor and material usage. This role requires a combination of hands-on carpentry skills and leadership abilities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

 Skilled Work:

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.

 Labor Tracking:

  • Assist in scheduling labor and material deliveries to ensure continuous workflow.

 Quality Control:

  • Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
  • Conduct quality control checks and address any issues that arise during construction.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment

Qualifications:

 Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials.

 Leadership and team management skills.

 Some ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

 Proficient in using hand and power tools.

 Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Good communication and interpersonal skills.

 Willingness to learn and expand knowledge base

 Telehandler operation ticket an asset

Physical Requirements:

 Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) as needed.

 Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods.

 Ability to work in various weather conditions.
