Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate ECE(s) /Assistant(s)/ and Responsible Adult(s) to join our team.

Our Center is relocating to Vernon, BC, and establishing itself as a Not-for-profit Multicultural Art Based Youth and Community Support Society.

We aim to address the growing migrant population in Vernon, BC by providing Childcare, Youth Programs, Community and Immigration support to new and current residence. We are passionate about promoting the expression of culture through Art and learning together harmoniously, giving new settlers the warmth and inclusion of our multicultural country.

Duties

  • Provide support in the classroom setting, assisting educators with lesson implementation and classroom management.
  • Engage with children, promoting educational activities that enhance their learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt educational materials suitable for children of varying abilities and cultural backgrounds.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development.
  • Work independently with lower class sizes if required
  • Establish/engage and promote a multicultural learning program catered to various ethnic backgrounds.
  • Have a passion for the Arts/Athletics

Qualifications

  • Min 1 yr. Experience in caregiving or working with children
  • ECE Diploma, ECE Assistant Certificate or Equivalent Certification
  • Valid Drivers License, First Aid/AED Certification
  • Strong communication skills to educate and engage effectively with children and staff alike.
  • A background in classroom settings or youth program environments is a plus.
  • A strong understanding and ability to speak the English language is a must
  • A strong foundation in a second language such as; Ukranian, Russian, or Polish is an asset
