Quality Control Coordinator

Keep Canada's fleet mission-ready We are seeking a Quality Control Coordinator in our Ship Repair division to serve as the key link between Production, Quality Control (QC) and customer teams including NDQAR and DEA Engineering. In this role, you will coordinate all inspections, maintain the Inspection Test Plan (ITP), process NDE reporting, and prepare weekly reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. You'll also provide backup support for QC documentation such as PACs, Mark-ups, and IRs, while managing communication with Canadian counterparts for inspection scheduling, report sign-off, and acceptance. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Coordination and scheduling of all inspections with Production, the Customer and Quality Control.
- Maintain ITP by updating on receipt of signed customer Production Inspection Reports, adding Work Arising or New Work once approved and provide weekly reporting to Quality Control team and customer.
- Assist in the building and reviewing of final documentation before submitting to the customer.
- 2–5 years of scheduling and coordination experience in a similar role.
- Community College Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and specialized software for inspection reporting.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and driven.
- Knowledge of shipbuilding, document control, and SharePoint.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
