We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician - Journeyman/Journeywoman to join our dynamic service team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and repair techniques. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. A background in dealership environments, familiarity with all vehicles, and expertise in diesel engine repair are highly desirable. As a key member of our team, you will perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive schematics, ADAS systems, and electronic testing tools
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on powertrain components, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines
  • Execute vehicle alignments, wheel balancing, and suspension repairs with precision
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for various repair tasks
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as sensors, wiring harnesses, and mechanical parts
  • Interpret manufacturer specifications and auto estimating guidelines to determine repair procedures
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed and communicate findings effectively to customers
  • Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and safety regulations
  • Assist in training apprentice technicians and supporting other team members as needed

Requirements

  • Proven service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair
  • Valid Journeyman/Journeywoman certification or equivalent qualification in automotive technology
  • Extensive dealership experience preferred, with familiarity working on GM vehicles a plus
  • Proficiency in diagnosing complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical issues
  • Hands-on experience with ADAS, schematics reading, welding, and diesel engine repair
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, powertrain systems, transmissions, and alignments
  • Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44.00-$50.00 per hour
