Job Description
Job Title: Chef Pâtissier - Experienced Pastry Chef
We are looking for a pâtissier with baking & pastry experience. Applicants should be able to prepare specific recipes quickly and efficiently. Paying sharp attention to detail and the ability to take direction are a must.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Have a knowledge base regarding, and be able to demonstrate fundamental baking and pastry techniques including, but not limited to; viennoiserie, bread making, pastry cream production, and other dough and pastry making needs
· Able to demonstrate proper recipe execution and workspace tidiness in a fast-paced environment
· Safely operate, clean and maintain food services equipment and facilities at all times
· Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
· Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
· Apply the MAPAQ rules and hygiene principles
· Assist with related tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
· Pastry DEP or equivalent Experience in pastry shop.
· Proven experience as a line cook making pastry; minimum 3 years experience
· Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware, knowledge of HACCP standards
· Practice workplace health and safety procedures (knowledge of CNESST, MAPAQ an asset)
· Ability to work in a team
· Very good communication skills
· Bilingual; French and English
· Excellent physical condition and stamina being able to lift up to 25kg+
· Experience in Kosher cooking an asset
· Capacity to follow recipes and procedures
· Capacity to work standing up for several consecutive hours
· Capacity to repeat the same movement for a period of time
· Capacity to work with precision and rapidity, attention to detail, punctual, and the ability to manage priorities.
WORK CONDITIONS
The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday (40 hours), weekends as needed.
The production location is accessible by public transportation.
Full-Time Permanent Position.
Candidates must be flexible.
Start date: Immediately
Wage based on experience and other factors.

Avoir des connaissances de bases et être capable de démontrer les techniques fondamentales de boulangerie et de pâtisserie et de viennoiserie, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter : panification, fabrication de crème pâtissière et autres besoins en pâte et pâtisserie
Capable de d'exécuter correctement des recettes et de garder la propreté de l'espace de travail dans un environnement au rythme rapide
Exploiter, nettoyer et entretenir en toute sécurité l'équipement et les installations des services alimentaires en tout temps
Garder un environnement aseptisé et ordonné dans la cuisine
Assurer que tous les aliments et autres articles sont stockés correctement
Appliquer les règles et les principes d'hygiène du MAPAQ
Aider aux tâches connexes
CONDITIONS
DEP Pâtisserie ou Expérience équivalente en pâtisserie.
Expérience reconnue en tant que Pâtissier; minimum 3 ans d'expérience
Expérience dans l'utilisation d'outils de coupe, d'ustensiles de cuisine et d'ustensiles de cuisson, connaissance des normes HACCP
Pratiquer les procédures de santé et sécurité au travail (connaissance de la CNESST, MAPAQ un atout)
•Capacité de travailler en équipe
Très bonnes capacités de communication
Bilingue ; Français et anglais
Excellente condition physique et endurance pouvant soulever jusqu'à 25 kg +
Expérience en cuisine casher un atout
Capacité à suivre des recettes et des procédures
Capacité à travailler debout pendant plusieurs heures consécutives
Capacité de répéter le même mouvement pendant un certain temps
Capacité à travailler avec précision et rapidité, souci du détail, ponctualité et capacité à gérer les priorités.
CONDITIONS DE TRAVAIL
L'horaire de travail est principalement du lundi au vendredi (40 heures), les fins de semaine au besoin.
Le lieu de production est accessible par les transports en commun.
Poste permanent à temps plein.
Les candidats doivent être flexibles.
Date de début : Immédiatement
Salaire basé sur l'expérience et d'autres facteurs.
