The Cool Aid Dental Clinic is a not-for-profit dental clinic serving the greater Victoria area. We are looking for a compassionate, kind, and patient-centred dentist. Our care goes beyond pain relief. We provide a full range of dental services including diagnostic, preventive, surgical, and restorative to adults who face multiple barriers to dental care. The clinic sees those adults that may be experiencing homelessness, those that may be struggling with mental health and addictions issues, and those on a fixed or low income.

Located in the heart of downtown Victoria, the clinic is surrounded by shops, restaurants, the beautiful Inner Harbour, and Beacon Hill Park. Victoria is renowned as a green city, with bicycle trails throughout the city and trails leading up island and to the ferry. This is a great opportunity for a dentist who wants to make a difference in the lives of those who experience barriers to accessing health services and in need of affordable dental care. This would be a great opportunity for a dentist that would like to focus on patient care without the demands of overseeing the administrative demands of a clinic.

Requirements

  • Duly qualified Doctor of Dental Medicine/Surgery in good standing with the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C.

Job Information

  • Hourly Wage Rate: $110

  • Work Location: Cool Aid Dental Clinic – 713 Johnson St

  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

  • Totals Weekly Hours: 34

  • Position Type: Contracted
