Senior Technical Designer & Merchandiser
with deep expertise in
menswear
, particularly
dress shirts and bridge sport shirts
. The ideal candidate combines a refined technical skill set with a creative eye for detail—someone who understands the art of tailoring and the science behind perfect fits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop
    seasonal collections
    for Dress Shirts and Bridge Sport Shirts.
  • Select and recolor
    fabrics, patterns, and trims
    to align with brand direction and market trends.
  • Conduct
    market and competitive research
    to inform design strategy and assortment planning.
  • Build and maintain
    detailed tech packs
    (SMS and bulk) to ensure production accuracy.
  • Manage the
    fit approval process
    , reviewing samples from proto to final production.
  • Approve
    strike-offs, lab dips, and trims
    , maintaining brand consistency and quality.
  • Review
    bulk fabrics and pre-production samples
    to ensure specifications are met.
  • Develop
    line sheets and customer selection CADs
    to support sales presentations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the design, sourcing, and production teams to ensure on-time delivery and technical excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum
    5 years of experience
    in technical design and merchandising (menswear specialization preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of
    fabrics, garment construction, pattern-making, and fit standards
    .
  • Proven experience creating
    tech packs
    and managing development timelines from concept to production.
  • Proficiency in
    Adobe Illustrator
    and Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency is a strong asset).
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.
