Our Team
The Communications and Issues Management branch of Health and Social Services is dedicated to delivering clear, consistent, and impactful communications that support the department's mission to improve the health and well-being of our communities.
We are a collaborative, solutions-focused team that values creativity, precision, and adaptability in a fast-paced government environment. Working closely with internal and external clients, we ensure that information is accessible, engaging, and aligned with departmental priorities. Your Role
As the Online Communications and Products Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping how the department communicates with the public and internal audiences. You will lead the governance and maintenance of the department's websites and social media platforms, ensuring that all online and print materials meet corporate standards, are user-focused, and effectively promote departmental programs and services. You will collaborate with operational and communications staff to develop and evaluate communication products, provide expert advice on digital content, and contribute to the development of communication strategies. You will also manage the distribution of publications and provide in-house design support for materials such as posters, brochures, and reports.

Essential qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Post-secondary education in communications, digital media, public relations, journalism or a related field
- Considerable experience managing websites and social media platforms, including publishing and maintaining online content using content management systems
- Experience writing and editing content for diverse audiences across various media formats
- Experience coordinating communication projects and collaborating with internal teams and external contractors

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability
If selected for an interview, candidates should have, and may be assessed on, the following:
- Knowledge of web analytics tools and ability to interpret data to inform content strategy
- Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and usability research methods to ensure content and design meet audience needs
- Experience designing and developing communication products such as posters, brochures, and other print and digital materials, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and audience needs
- Ability to apply accessibility standards and best practices in digital and print communications
- Ability to create and implement new approaches and lead change/innovation
- Commitment to creating and maintaining a client focused culture
- Organizational awareness; sensitivity and understanding structures, processes, culture, relationships and issues
