What You'll Be Doing:- Develop, validate, and maintain firmware for embedded microprocessors in advanced SerDes products.
- Design, implement, and rigorously test C/C++ functions and applications, adhering to industry best practices including code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Lead execution of comprehensive validation plans, including test case development, test automation, coverage analysis, and unittesting.
- Track, coordinate, and report on adoption of best practices across multiple firmware projects using JIRA dashboards and Confluence tracking tools.
- Automate monitoring of process adherence and generate regular reports on key quality metrics for continuous improvement.
- Maintain clear and structured project documentation, ensuring consistent standards and traceability across projects.
- Collaborate closely with firmware and hardware teams across multiple sites for seamless integration and effective debugging.
- Support firmware integration, silicon bring-up, and root cause analysis to ensure robust product delivery.
- Drive technical excellence and process maturity in the development of SerDes and PHY IP firmware.
- Elevate quality and efficiency standards across multiple high-impact projects.
- Champion automation initiatives that reduce manual overhead and accelerate delivery cycles.
- Contribute to the successful integration and bring-up of cutting-edge silicon products.
- Facilitate effective cross-site collaboration, fostering an environment of shared knowledge and innovation.
- Enable reliable, high-performance solutions that set industry benchmarks in embedded firmware development.
- Shape best practices and process improvements that influence future generations of Synopsys technology.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or MSEE) with 5+ years in embedded firmware development and validation.
- Expert-level programming skills in C/C++, with scripting experience in Python, Bash, or Tcl considered a strong asset.
- Proven experience utilizing Jenkins for CI/CD, test automation, and unittesting frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, automate, and track process adherence across projects using JIRA dashboards and Confluence.
- Excellent project tracking, reporting, and organizational skills, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities, both written and verbal.
- (Preferred) Experience with digital logic design, simulation, and debug (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
- (Preferred) Familiarity with SerDes standards and test methodologies.
- (Preferred) Demonstrated use of automated quality and process tracking tools.
