Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our pharmacy team.

As a cashier at Pharmasave you have the greatest opportunity to uphold our customer service standards of friendly, personal and efficient service; often having the only contact or last contact with customers before they leave the store.

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, dependability and positive attitude are required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers professionally and ensure accuracy of transactions
  • Process payments efficiently using POS systems and handle cash, credit, or insurance billing as applicable
  • Maintain organized records of transactions and patient information
  • Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and directing patients to appropriate services or colleagues
  • Uphold confidentiality of patient information
  • Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and medications when required
  • Support pharmacy or home health care staff with administrative tasks as needed
  • Have general knowledge of store products to show customers where to find items they are looking for

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in pharmacy settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and patient information
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems or Kroll software preferred
  • Ability to work on your feet or bend and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and come to work when scheduled

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
