Afternoon Painter

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools. The Painter will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes on diverse projects while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to accurately execute project specifications
• Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore them to their original condition
• Use rigging techniques and scaffolding safely for high or hard-to-reach areas
• Operate hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols
• Assist with carpentry tasks as needed to ensure proper surface preparation and finishing details
• Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety standards
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met on time

Skills

• Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, and industrial painting
• Strong knowledge of schematics, blueprints reading, and schematics interpretation
• Proficiency with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, and measuring devices
• Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently for surface preparation and finishing tasks
• Familiarity with rigging techniques for working at heights or on scaffolding systems
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
• Customer service orientation with a professional attitude toward client interactions
• Basic carpentry skills for minor repairs or adjustments during painting projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
