Position Overview

We are seeking an organized and proactive Grants Coordinator to support our fundraising efforts. In this role, you will be instrumental in keeping our grant operations running smoothly by managing timelines, coordinating materials, and assisting with proposal development. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build experience in nonprofit operations and grant management while contributing to a meaningful mission.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the grants calendar with deadlines for applications and reports
  • Gather required materials from different departments (budgets, program info, bios, etc.)
  • Read through the grants MLF is researching and/or applying for
  • Assist with drafting sections of proposals and reports as needed
  • Prepare initial drafts of smaller grant applications
  • Track submitted grants and outcomes for reporting and evaluation

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Excellent literacy and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Passion for MLF's mission and commitment to supporting Muslim writers
  • Reliable access to internet and ability to work independently & in collaboration with a team
  • Bonus: Experience writing or managing grants
