Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about dentistry and committed to creating a positive experience for our patients.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Sterilize instruments and manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric dental care when required.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with orthodontics and pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is an advantage for candidates interested in advanced dental technologies.
