The Sarnia manufacturing facility is the headquarters for ARLANXEO Canada Inc. with a Global Research & Development Centre for Butyl Rubber found in London, Ontario. Focused on the production of synthetic rubber, the Sarnia facility is a major supplier to both domestic and international markets and employs over 300 employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning system
  • Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing
  • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems
  • Removal, discharge, handling and disposal of refrigerants that contain ozone depleting substances and other hydrocarbons such as CFCs, HCFCs or HFCs
  • Install and troubleshoot electrical control systems and repair as necessary.
  • Installing and repairing pumps, motors, fan coils and piping.
  • Able to read and follow electrical control schematics
  • Work independently and with others to solve mechanical and technical problems
  • Carries out such other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
  • Document repairs and prepare maintenance reports

Experience:

  • Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright with a valid C of Q 433A, &/or 313A C of Q for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanics, requires Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) certificate card, requires a G2 Gas Technician certificate
  • eligible to work in the province of Ontario
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in an industrial, preferably petro-chemical environment

Education:

  • Completion of OSSD
  • Completion of apprenticeship courses to meet requirements of C of Q Millwright certification
