Valid Driver's Abstract + Drug & Alcohol testing

About the Role

Our client is seeking a
Field Operator II
to join their team at the Sarnia Terminal. This role plays a key part in coordinating terminal operations, ensuring accurate product measurement, and maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operations with the Edmonton Control Centre for the routing of deliveries and receipts to the Sarnia Terminal and nearby refinery facilities.
  • Perform measurement, sampling, and testing of crude oil and natural gas liquids to verify the accuracy of all equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and environmental compliance across all activities.
  • Conduct maintenance and housekeeping within the Sarnia area facilities.
  • Witness meter provings, verify reports, and ensure meter factors are correctly applied.
  • Operate and maintain the Sarnia Area master flow computer.
  • Collect Quality Assurance Samples (QAS), prepare for lab shipment, and maintain testing equipment logs.
  • Perform tank inspections, level accuracy checks, and annual tank bottom surveys.
  • Serve as first responder for tank farm emergencies and assume operational responsibility in the absence of local management.
  • Conduct integrity checks on equipment (respiratory protection, gas detectors, fire extinguishers, etc.).

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • Additional technical education an asset
  • Completion of internal Measurement Training Course for Gauger's position preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Experience in a related field position will be considered an asset
