ABOUT THE COMPANY
This is a 10 person, Ancaster-based construction and renovation company specializing in home exterior improvements, including windows & doors, siding, eavestroughs, and roofing. The owner / operator is committed to a positive, professional team culture rooted in employee development and craftsmanship excellence, that results in delighted customers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role works with a team, working outdoors installing windows & doors, siding, eavestroughs and roofs. Learning new skills and continuing to develop your craftsmanship while engaging efficiently and supportively with the team, will serve you well in on-going career development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will:
- Learn the work plan objectives for the day from the business owner or Team Lead.
- Gather tools and materials from the shop and load them into the trucks and drive to the job sites, typically within a 30-minute drive on average.
- Work as a team in executing the tasks in a professional and efficient manner, while being polite with the customer and supportive of your teammates.
- When leaving the job site, you and the team will ensure the site is clean and tidy.
- At end of day the team will return to the shop.
LOCATION & WORK SCHEDULE
The workday starts and ends at the business's shop located south of the Hamilton airport, starting at 7AM, Monday to Friday.
COMPENSATION and HOURS
$30/hour, 35-44 hours per week is typical.

- Self-starter who works efficiently with minimal supervision.
TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP TO BE PROVIDED
TRAINING: You will work closely with the Team Lead on the job site, continuing to develop your skills and experience in each craft required for installing windows & doors, siding, eavestroughs, and roofing.
MENTORSHIP: For the development of your career, mentorship will also be provided on a regular basis by the business owner /operator, enabling you to expedite your development as a key contributor to the success of the business.
