Job Summary

The Asbestos Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of asbestos management, including inspection, removal, and remediation processes. This role requires a strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in asbestos handling and disposal. The ideal candidate will possess experience in construction and restoration, with a focus on maintaining a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in residential and commercial properties.
  • Develop and implement management plans for the safe handling and removal of asbestos.
  • Supervise and coordinate asbestos abatement projects, ensuring all work is performed according to regulatory standards.
  • Train and educate staff on proper asbestos handling techniques, safety protocols, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with contractors and other professionals to ensure effective project execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, abatement activities, and compliance documentation.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely during inspection and remediation processes.
  • Ensure that all cleaning procedures are followed to minimize contamination risks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction or restoration work, particularly related to hazardous materials management.
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos regulations and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to construction and remediation tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey information to team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in asbestos management or related field is preferred but not mandatory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
