We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors and those with special needs. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence.

Duties

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, which may involve heavy lifting.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Support clients with daily living tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, and shopping.
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with conditions such as dementia or those requiring hospice care.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate parties.

Experience

  • Previous Canadian experience in patient care or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory.
  • PSW Certificate Mandatory
  • Familiarity with senior care practices, assisted living environments, or nursing home settings is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial.
  • Experience with dementia care or hospice care will be considered an asset.
  • A compassionate demeanor and strong communication skills are essential for building trust with clients.
