JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. If you are an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who wants to continue developing your professional knowledge and skills as well as, share in making an impact to our clients and our firm, then we want to hear from you

Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience completing audit, review and compilation engagements with a good grasp of corporate and personal tax, specifically dealing with owner-managed businesses. This individual can work independently with some supervision or in a larger team setting.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of public accounting experience
  • Completion or near completion of Chartered Professional Accountant designation
  • Good understanding of ASPE, ASNFPO, CAS, CSRE, CSRS and Canadian income taxation
  • Good working knowledge of Caseware, Taxprep, Quickbooks, Sage 50, Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with preparing T1, T2 and T3 tax returns
  • Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, partners, co-workers and various government organizations
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple deadlines and engagements
