Job Title: Quality Inspector 

On-site/ Remote/ Hybrid: Onsite  

Location: Pincourt, QC 

Job Type: Permanent   

Responsibilities: 

  • Inspection of various machine components to be conformant with customer drawings dimensionally using verniers, height gauge, thread gauges, pin gauges and various other inspection equipment. 
  • Record and document dimensions and other customer drawing requirements. 
  • Use CMM to verify dimensions of machined components. (CMM experience an advantage but not essential). 
  • Work with machine operators and other QC personnel to obtain compliant parts. 
  • Verify purchased components from outside manufactures and verify components meet customer specification, document all findings. 

Requirements: 

  • High School or Collegial Studies depending on the course of study. 
  • 5 years experience. 
  • Mechanical / Machining Background an advantage. 
  • Overall Machine shop knowledge of machined components 
  • Ability to use measuring instruments; micrometers. calipers, height gauge, plain plug gauges, thread gauges. 
  • Knowledge or experience with CMM equipment; particularly Zeiss machine/Calypso software would be beneficial. (Training could be given to the right candidate). 
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office software. 
  • Good familiarity or experience with Quality Systems; ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100. 
  • Able to read and interpret drawings as well as knowledge of geometrical tolerancing. 
  • Knowledge of NET-INSPECT or similar software. 
  • Knowledge of plating and painting and advantage. 
  • Willingness to learn 
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal. 
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and be aware of priorities. 
  • Comply with all safety and company procedures and policies. 
  • Team player. 
  • Good sense of judgement. 
  • Work closely with other QC personnel to ensure overall compliance to customer specifications.
