Role
What You'll Do
We are seeking a Manager, Supplier Quality to join our team. In this role, you will lead, coach, and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers while driving strategies that mitigate risk in our supply chain and ensure compliance with CoolIT's Quality Management System. You will oversee supplier quality activities, contribute to new product launches, and foster strong partnerships with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of world-class quality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and guide the Supplier Quality Engineering team, providing mentorship and direction.
  • Delegate assignments considering skills, experience, and development needs.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to mitigate risk through supplier audits, APQP/PPAP, monitoring, and corrective actions.
  • Own supplier risk via evaluations, monitoring, and an annual audit program.
  • Establish strong working relationships with Suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Define and track key metrics (e.g., DPPM, NCRs) to drive improvements in supplier quality.
  • Identify and act on proactive indicators to prevent quality issues in the global supply base.
  • Stay current with industrial quality standards, regulations, and methodologies.
  • Lead supplier audits and train team members in auditing best practices.
  • Exemplify and hold the team accountable to CoolIT Core Values.
  • Navigate complexity and uncertainty while achieving results under challenging circumstances.

Who You Are
Basic Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Auditor and/or related certification (CSQP, CQM, CQI, ASQ, or ISO 9001:2015 Certified Lead Auditor).
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering.
  • Proven leadership experience, including leading without direct title.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in supplier qualification, PPAP, CAPA/SCAR management, root cause analysis (8D, 5-Whys), SPC, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Experience supporting MRB inventory management, audit processes, and quality data analysis/reporting.
  • Knowledge of process capability and advanced quality tools.
