Mine Supervisor

With over 40 years of proven performance, we're growing fast, and we're looking for a Working Supervisor to lead safe, efficient, and high-performing mining operations that set the standard for quality and teamwork.

How You'll Contribute

As a Working Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in the day-to-day coordination and performance of mining operations. You'll lead by example, ensuring your crew operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations and company standards. You'll be responsible for keeping production on target, managing people and equipment, and maintaining open communication with your Project Manager. Every decision you make will help drive safety, productivity, and excellence on site.

What You'll Get to Do

• Lead and supervise a mining crew to meet production goals safely and efficiently
• Plan and coordinate day-to-day shift operations, including workers, equipment, and supplies
• Ensure high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across all activities
• Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring proper use and regular inspections
• Manage crew scheduling, attendance, and time-off requests, and report to the Project Manager
• Support budgeting, production tracking, and reporting requirements
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve their full potential
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including timesheets, FLHAs, and equipment logs
• Set the example for discipline, integrity, teamwork, and professionalism on every shift
• Identify and resolve operational challenges to minimize downtime
• Uphold all MacKay policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Support special projects or other duties as required

You have:

• A valid B.C. Mine Supervisor Certificate (Shift Boss Certificate is an asset)
• Standard First Aid for Mining certification
• Pre-authorized access to EVR sites (or ability to obtain)
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in mining or heavy civil operations
• Strong knowledge of HSRC, mine safety standards, and related regulations
• Proven ability to manage crews, equipment, and shift operations
• Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
• A valid Class 5 driver's licence
• A high level of integrity, initiative, and commitment to teamwork

Location and Hours

This role is based in the Sparwood, BC area, with hours determined by project needs. Operations run 24/7, including day and night shifts. Travel within the region is required, and occasional travel outside the area may be necessary. Overtime may be required in accordance with company policies.
