Research Assistant, Ecumenical Conference Organizing

Research Assistants are normally students, in a University of Winnipeg undergraduate program, employed to assist with tasks related to research. Work is performed within defined guidelines and under supervision of a more senior researcher or faculty member.
Position Overview:
These positions involve working approximately 5 hours a week during the academic year culminating in a conference to be held in Winnipeg from May during which time the hours may be extended.
Duties:
- Web-site creation
- Promotion
- Social Media
- Flyers
- Publicity
- Creating Book display
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts in progress
- Knowledge of Social Media and website design
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with CANVA and Squarespace
- Ease with Instagram, Facebook, X, and Bluesky
Condition(s) of Employment:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
The period of work will be from December 8, May 17, 2026 and the estimated total hours of work will be 5-80 hours.
Note: This position is represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada - Research Capacity Unit.
