Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated OTA/PTA to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work in a highly dynamic, interprofessional environment, supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. You will collaborate closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help patients regain independence and achieve their rehabiliation goals.

Qualifications

Halton Healthcare is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.

  • Graduate of combined OT/PTA Certificate course from an accredited college
  • At least two years experience in inpatient hospital experience
  • Experience in inpatient rehab an asset
  • Demonstrated excellent patient care skills with medical, surgical, neurological and geriatric caseload
  • GPA required
  • Shows initiative, flexibility and enjoys working with a interprofessional  team
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of a moderately heavy job
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Satisfactory attendance and employment record

The ideal candidate is strong in patient centred care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.

Additional Information

Hours: Monday - Sunday, 7.5 Days (hours subject to change based on operational needs of the department)

Salary: $ $36.575 per hour
