Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the supply chain process, ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, and optimizing transportation management systems. This position requires strong data analysis skills and experience with various logistics software, including ERP systems and CMMS. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing order fulfillment, shipping and receiving operations, and collaborating with suppliers to enhance procurement processes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate warehouse distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Manage purchasing processes and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Utilize transportation management systems to optimize freight logistics.
- Conduct data analysis to monitor supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the use of warehouse management systems for inventory control and order tracking.
- Collaborate on pricing strategies and demand planning efforts.
- Facilitate shipping and receiving operations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Manage order fulfillment processes, including order picking and packaging.
- Work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations.
- Maintain accurate records of materials management and sourcing activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field, with a strong understanding of warehouse experience.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and warehouse management systems is essential.
- Proficient in data analysis skills to drive informed decision-making within the supply chain.
- Knowledge of e-commerce logistics practices is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Forklift certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
